What it does
Rearrange your Dock, and your shortcuts follow.
- The order is the setting. Your Dock already has an order. ⌥1–⌥0 open its first ten apps, and ⌥` opens Finder. Drag an app to a new spot in the Dock and its shortcut moves with it — nothing to configure.
- One key, any state. Not running, hidden, minimized, or on another window — the shortcut brings the app to the front, and opens a window if it has none.
- Your modifier. Use ⌥, ⌃, ⌘, ⇧ or any combination, so Dockcut never fights shortcuts you already rely on.
- Shortcuts for apps outside the Dock. Add any app under App Shortcuts and give it a key of its own.
- No permissions, no network. Dockcut needs no Accessibility access and cannot connect to the internet. It is under 1 MB and native to Apple silicon.

A successor to Snap
Built for macOS after Rosetta.
Snap, the classic Dock-shortcut app, was last updated in 2012 and runs only on Intel. As Apple winds down Rosetta, Dockcut brings the same idea back as a native Apple silicon app — with shortcuts that follow your Dock instead of a list you keep in sync by hand.
Dockcut reads which apps are pinned to your Dock (read-only) and nothing else. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
